The McBride Law Firm

Extradition & Cross-Border Defense

The McBride Law Firm represents clients in U.S. extradition matters and coordinates with counsel responsible for related proceedings in other jurisdictions.

The U.S. Proceeding

The work addresses the requesting jurisdiction, the applicable treaty framework, the supporting record, and the client’s immediate circumstances. Depending on the proceeding, representation may involve detention issues, examination of the request and supporting material, and preparation of the arguments available in the U.S. court.

Coordination Across Jurisdictions

Related foreign proceedings require advice from counsel authorized to act there. The firm coordinates the exchange of information and the assessment of decisions that may affect more than one proceeding. That coordination preserves the separate responsibilities of counsel and the requirements of each legal system.

Public Communications

Cross-border proceedings can generate conflicting public accounts. Statements made on a client’s behalf must be considered alongside the court record, protected information, and the implications for related proceedings.
