RELEASE MOTION DENIED IN U.S.-U.K. EXTRADITION PROCEEDINGS
The court denied Andrew and Tristan Tate's motion for release pending extradition proceedings. Applying Eleventh Circuit extradition law, the court addressed risk of flight, danger to the community, and claimed special circumstances. It held that the asserted conditions of confinement had not been shown, on the record presented, to rise to special circumstances warranting release. The order did not decide extradition or guilt.

EVIDENTIARY RELEASE HEARING
The court heard testimony and argument concerning release during the pending extradition proceedings and reserved decision. McBride addressed reporters after the hearing.

PROVISIONAL ARREST
Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested pursuant to provisional arrest complaints arising from a United Kingdom extradition request. The cases began in federal court in Miami.
