Representation of Joe Bolanos
Joseph Bolanos went to Washington, DC, on January 6, 2021, to hear then-President Donald Trump’s speech. He never entered the Capitol and was a 30-minute walk away when the breach occurred. Joe shared his videos from J6 with friends at a local café, after returning to NYC. A Trump-hating neighbor falsely reported that Joe had entered the Capitol on J6. That person’s actions resulted in Joe being swatted and his life changing forever.

Joe has been the President of his Upper West Side block association for more than 20 years. He looked out for his neighbors during the pandemic. Joe dropped off masks and kept extra heaters in his rent-controlled apartment for seniors. He raised morale with a weekly street dance to support essential workers. A Red Cross volunteer after the 9/11 attacks, Joe once received a police commendation for heroism after saving a woman from being mugged. Now, his neighbors think that 72-year-old Joe Bolanos is a domestic terrorist.

Joe was caring for his 94-year-old mother when the FBI dragged him from her apartment during a February 2021 raid. Joe was handcuffed, paraded, and detained for hours while his apartment was ransacked—and all his devices confiscated. Joe told the FBI that he was unwell during the time they held him captive. The Feds did not listen, and Joe had a stroke because of their wanton disregard for his wellbeing. Joe has had five more strokes since that time and is a shell of his former self.

Joe Bolanos is now represented by Joseph McBride, the Founder and President of the McBride Law Firm, PLLC. Mr. McBride, also a New Yorker, felt compelled to seek justice on behalf of Mr. Bolanos and took on this case despite Mr. Bolanos’s understandable inability to pay legal fees. Therefore, this fund has been set up to help McBride’s legal warriors get justice for Joe Bolanos. Your consideration, financial contribution, and prayers are greatly needed and appreciated.
May God Bless Your Generosity Abundantly.
And May God Bless the United States of America.
